Kickboxing Grading – Athlete Level Requirements
Achieving the athlete level in kickboxing is a testament to discipline, strength, and technical skill. This grading is designed to test not only physical endurance but also the ability to execute techniques with precision, confidence, and control. It pushes athletes to demonstrate their mastery of foundational strikes, combinations, conditioning, and overall fight readiness. The requirements below reflect the commitment and dedication needed to reach this level, ensuring that those who pass embody both the physical and mental attributes of a true kickboxer.
– 10 Minutes of Skipping
– 25 Push-ups
– 30 Sit-ups
– Demonstration of Jabs, Crosses, Hooks, Uppercuts, Front Kicks, Roundhouse Kicks, and Footwork
Six Combinations:
– Jab, Cross, Lead Leg Roundhouse Kick
– Cross, Hook, Back Leg Roundhouse Kick
– Jab, Right Hook (Body), Left Hook (Head), Back Leg Roundhouse Kick
– Slip, Left Hook, Straight Cross, Lead Leg Roundhouse Kick
– Slip, Uppercut, Overhand, Lead Leg Roundhouse Kick
– Jab, Back Leg Roundhouse Kick, Cross, Lead Leg Roundhouse Kick
Rounds:
– 3 × 2-Minute Burnouts
– 3 × Rounds of Boxing with Footwork
– 3 × Rounds of Kickboxing
– 3 × Rounds of Hands-Only Bag Work
– 3 × Rounds of Hands-and-Feet Bag Work
Conditioning:
– 9 Minutes of Conditioning Exercises
